International charity DKMS aims to get more people signed up to the stem cell register and save lives. My work with them has been in digital video - creating social video and assets for their website to tell the stories of people involved.
Below are two of the longform edits I have done for DKMS, the former telling the story of a young boy and his journey through treatment, and the later of the recipient of a donation meeting the donor that saved her life. I wanted to keep the pace forward-moving but not rushed, allowing for viewers to immerse themselves in the stories and feel the empathy for those impacted that may drive them to sign up to the registry themselves. If you're reading this and you're not signed up, go sign up now!
I have done a few social videos for DKMS, but this one was a little different.
This video I edited, but I also produced and shot.
I took a trip down to visit Emilia and her family to learn more about what their lives look like and what DKMS means to them.
I'm happy to report Emilia is doing very well now, and is even back at school!
These are some simple social videos I shot with the team (and edited) whilst down at their London offices working on another project.
