I was Veritasium's primary shortform editor from February 2024 to February 2026. I shaped and grew Veritasium's entire shortform presence and brought unprecedented successes, new audiences and streams of revenue to the channel. Here are just a few of my achievements there:
• Instagram account @veritasiumdaily gained 1 mil+ followers from scratch, populated 99% with my videos.
Over 910 million views across TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts on my videos alone.
• Relaunching the Veritasium TikTok from dormancy, leading to an increase in followers of over 200% within just 5 months.
• Driving hundreds of thousands of views to longform YouTube videos with my shorts.
• Creation of brand-friendly, engaging sponsored content, allowing for new revenue streams to integrate into shortform strategy.
• Maintaining consistently high-quality output so as to qualify for creator reward schemes across multiple platforms, further increasing ROI on shortform.
• Edited and facilitated the very first original shortform videos made for Veritasium! Also, all of our most popular ones...

I came on board with Veritasium to help develop their TikTok strategy: sourcing clips, editing social video and delivering fully captioned vertical assets for posting across all social media sites.
My work has led to an unprecedented boost in engagement for Veritasium's socials, my videos enabling them to have a consistently high quality output across all their social platforms. 
Not only are the videos performing well and spreading brand awareness, they are directly driving views back to the full videos they are clipped from— sometimes in excess of 25k more views— and in turn generating revenue in a previously unutilised way. I have been able to identify clips and segments that will perform well when standing alone, including condensing down central questions into digestible shortform formats. The SAT Question video is one of my all-time favourites!

This is a clip I pulled from a longform video about the world's strongest magnet. I selected it for its strong visuals and humour, and it resonated fantastically with our audiences.

For this clip, I went into the backbooks to find something relevant to current events. I was able to adapt footage from a video created several years ago to inform and educate people on new and important happenings. I adapted the hook and opening to bring it up to date, making the content more timely and familiar.

By finding clips from longform videos I know will perform well on socials, I can facilitate thousands more views being driven to the brand's other platforms. This short did over 16 million views just on TikTok, a further 28 million on YouTube shorts and 9.8 million on Instagram- all in turn earning its own revenue whilst pushing more people to the longform and other videos on the channel.
